Boston!!!! What is it about Boston you ask that makes it so special? It is the birthplace of the nation, the birthplace of American innovation, home to sports fanatics, home to TV shows and movies we all know. This afternoon you will hear tidbits of it all as you travel the famous Freedom Trail – literally a red line traveling 2.5 miles around our glorious and compact city! Sometimes the line is made of bricks and other times it is just painted on the sidewalk. Today you won’t have to walk being February and all, we will have a coach, but we will get off and walk a bit here and there so you can get up close an personal with some of the sites. You will learn of Paul Revere, see his house, recall Longfellow’s poem – you will learn about the Boston Tea Party that started at Old South Meeting House, step on the hallowed ground of The Granary Burying Ground that entombs John Hancock and so very much more. Come along for this light afternoon of fun.

ISABELLA STEWART GARDNER MUSEUM TOUR - $25 (Optional)

Sasturday, 26 February 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Summary
A museum like none other in the world! Your jaw will drop as you enter the original museum created by the eclectic and wonderful Mrs. Gardner. The Italian Palazzo style architecture features an indoor courtyard that will leave you in awe! That is really just the frosting on the cake of a museum in which every single column and floor tile are part of the collection, where the real collection hangs on the walls. There are great artists that even non-art-enthusiasts will recognize and some that they won’t, but not to worry! A museum docent will take you through this acclaimed museum and tell you the stories about the collection and the art within that will make you fall in love with this very special spot. And if the art doesn’t entice you enough, the Gardner Museum is also the subject of recent show on Netflix called This Is a Robbery: The World’s Greatest Art Heist. This is based on the true story of what really happened. On the tour you will see the empty frames that hang to this day 31 years later! Come along, Jill Tate, owner of Corinthian Events will tell you stories on the way to the museum where a museum docent will take over.
